Every element of the prestigious and monumental KEF Reference 4 Meta centre speaker is designed to the highest possible specification, and this also applies to these custom-made protective grilles. Instead of the classic large rectangular grille that would cover the entire front panel (over a meter long), KEF engineers have opted for a unique, minimalist solution: each speaker unit (driver) has its own, dedicated round grille. These are attached to the speaker using an extremely elegant and strong magnetic system, meaning there are no holes or plastic pins on the beautiful front panel of your centre speaker, and installation and removal are completely effortless.

 The main guideline when designing these grilles was " protection, not distraction ". The grilles are precisely engineered to provide maximum physical protection for the sensitive aluminum diaphragms from dust, dirt or curious fingers, without in any way detracting from the elegant design of the Reference 4 Meta speaker. Most importantly for audiophiles, the grilles are completely acoustically transparent. They have been developed to not obstruct the passage of reference-quality sound into the room at all, so film dialogue, whispers and vocal textures remain crystal clear and maximally intelligible even when the grilles are in place.
