The speaker combines the latest 12th generation Uni-Q® driver with revolutionary MAT™ (Metamaterial Absorption Technology). This advanced material acts like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of unwanted sound reflections from behind the tweeter, virtually eliminating distortion and delivering exceptionally clear and natural sound. Thanks to the Uni-Q design, the tweeter and midrange act as a single point source of sound, significantly expanding the ideal listening area (sweet spot) and delivering an incredible three-dimensional sound image.
The bass is handled by an extremely powerful 165mm hybrid aluminium woofer. Thanks to an extended diaphragm excursion and advanced construction, the speaker pushes low frequency performance to new extremes, delivering exceptionally tight, deep and controlled bass. The KEF R3 Meta is an extremely versatile speaker – it shines as a premium stereo system in small to medium-sized rooms or as a premium surround speaker in the prestigious R Series home cinema systems. Elegant microfibre protective grilles with precisely cut micro-openings are included, which do not affect the sound quality.
