The KEF Kube 12 MIE active subwoofer is designed with one goal in mind – to deliver rich, uncompromising and devastatingly powerful bass that will deliver true cinematic thunder when watching movies or listening to music. As one of the largest models in the revamped Kube line, it boasts a powerful 300mm (12") forward-firing driver with an extra-long excursion and a proven 300W Class D RMS amplifier. This combination is perfect for larger rooms and dedicated home cinemas, where it easily creates physically tangible low frequencies.
The key to its incredible depth and complete control over the diaphragms lies in KEF’s advanced Music Integrity Engine® (MIE) technology. These are exclusive DSP (digital signal processing) algorithms that ensure that all the subwoofer’s components work in perfect synergy. The system also includes the iBX Intelligent Bass Extension algorithm, which analyses the audio signal on the fly and dynamically extends the bass depth at any listening volume. The result is stunningly clear, deep and precise bass that remains perfectly defined even during the most demanding and loud movie explosions.
The enclosure design is fully sealed. This delivers extremely fast, articulate and clean bass without any distortion or airborne noise, while making it drastically easier to find the ideal position in the room. To ensure perfect fit and perfect adaptation to the acoustics of the room, 3 preset EQ position options are provided, optimizing the sound depending on whether the subwoofer is placed in the open air, right against the wall or pushed into a corner.
Connecting to any existing audio system is easy. KEF SmartConnect technology automatically detects the type of input signal, and in addition to the classic RCA inputs, there are also speaker level inputs (speaker level inputs via Euroblock). To keep your space clean and free of visible cables, the Kube 12 MIE includes a dedicated expansion slot for the KEF KW1 wireless kit, which allows for full Hi-Fi resolution sound transmission without lag.
