The KEF Ci160ER, part of the Ci-E series, brings KEF's signature audiophile sound quality to an extremely affordable and powerful package. The series' slogan " audible, but invisible " perfectly sums up the essence of this speaker: it is designed and manufactured to the same rigorous engineering standards as KEF's more expensive architectural models. With its classic round shape, balanced size and shallow installation depth (only 85.2 mm), this speaker is the ideal choice for all drywall ceiling systems where you are looking for a fuller sound, but budget and dimensions above the plasterboard are limited.

At the heart of the sound is KEF's world-renowned and patented Uni-Q® technology. This advanced speaker array allows a 160mm (6.5") woofer and a 16mm (0.6") aluminium tweeter to act as a single, point source of sound. The result is an exceptionally wide sound dispersion that allows the listener to sit or move anywhere in the room without losing rhythm, clarity and fine detail. Unlike conventional in-wall speakers with a rigid and narrow sweet spot, Uni-Q® fills the entire room with an even, natural and rich soundstage.

From an aesthetic perspective, the speaker features KEF’s signature UTB™ Ultra Thin Bezel technology, which offers the thinnest possible visible edge around the circular protective grille. The grille is securely attached to the cabinet using powerful magnets. Both the grille and the speaker’s slim frame can be completely painted with a classic wall paint, making the speaker blend in perfectly with your ceiling and become visually inconspicuous.

The Ci160ER is manufactured to strict weatherproof standards. The protective grilles are treated with a special patented coating process, the connection terminals and materials are moisture-resistant, and the plastic parts have full UV protection. This allows you to use the speakers completely safely and for a long time in humid and demanding environments, such as bathrooms, home wellness areas, kitchens or outside under eaves.
