1. Sound source: The starting point of the audio signal
The sound source is the component that reads the information stored on the medium and converts it into an electrical audio signal. Any losses or distortions that occur at this stage are irreversible; subsequent links in the chain can only amplify them.
Turntable : In the analog world, a turntable head mechanically reads the modulations in the groove of a vinyl record.
